Our Quaint Little Elsecar Heritage Centre Studio. BLOG.

So we thought after being in our new{ish} office/studio since June last year we’d better show it off a little. Especially as we’ve now fully finished decorating and adding our stamp to the place. We really do feel like we’ve fallen on our feet by getting hold of this studio which really gives off the vibe we’ve always wanted which also matches our photography. This means style, quality and giving our bride and grooms peace of mind that they know they can always find us to discuss their day.

The building is 200 years old and has been fully refurbished giving Elsecar Heritage Centre an added wow factor to its already amazing surroundings. Elsecar Heritage Centre lies in the heart of Elsecar village which is conveniently accessible from the M1 junction 35 or 36. The Heritage Centre has the added bonus of 2 large car parks which attracts many visitors all through the week to the many shops and cafes. Elsecar Heritage Centre hosts regular antique and craft fayres which are extremely popular and create a real buzz around the place.

After moving here in June we have been warmly greeted by our surrounding businesses which have made us feel right at home.

Above our studio in the eves of the building is our very good friends The White Yard Bridal Boutique. This spacious boutique stocks everything from designer dresses, veils, shoes, tiara’s and the most stylish and modern selection of mens wear. Click here to contact.

Below here are our next-door neighbours, Rejuven8. This beauty clinic offers a wide range of treatments from skin care, nails and non surgical treatments. Click here to contact.

We have already hosted many bride and groom meetings in our studio where we can showcase a selection of our wedding photography and wedding albums. Our walls are a gallery of some of our much loved and current wedding photography and our table is full of the finest wedding albums in the world supplied by GraphiStudio. These albums are handmade in the hills of Arba Italy and are sure to make your wedding photography stand out from the rest.

You can normally find us editing and generally running our businesses day to day tasks during Monday to Friday unless we are out on a shoot but if you would like to book an appointment please get in touch with the details below and we will be sure to accommodate you wether this be an evening or weekend.

We really have seen the benefit of moving to our new studio which gives our bride and grooms the peace of mind that they have chosen two reliable, local and dedicated photographers. All our clients are met with a welcoming smile and a cuppa tea too! So if you’ve not yet decided on your wedding photographers please get in touch and book an appointment, you’ll not be disappointed.

Big Thanks!!

Wentworth Rotherham Pre-Wedding Shoot

Sunday saw us shooting Kelly and Paul’s pre-wedding shots. Amazing couple and as it turned out was our first meeting before this summers wedding.

We decided to shoot in Wentworth among the tree lined path which leads to the church and then managed to shoot a few cheeky shots in the local rapeseed field.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

Portrait Photographers in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

Once again it really has been a while since I posted anything on my blog. Im going to make it my mission to try and post a little more. I was fully expecting it to be a fairly quiet January and February but luckily it has not ended up this way…….

Now our photography Studio is in full flow I though I best post some images from a couple of recent shoots we have undertaken. We’ve decided to try and stay away from the typical white backdrop shoots in favour of our black, yellow, cherry and purple drops. That’s not to say we dont like the white drop shoots but we are finding our clients are loving the new colours we have.

Also with the wedding season getting ever nearer its looking to be a busy 2014 too. We have already taken many weddings on this year as well as taking lots of bookings for 2015 with some amazing venues to be shooting at too.

Anyway, have a peek at the new images below and see what you think. We hope you like them.

Thanks again.

Latest Studio Portraits.

Well its been a busy couple of weeks again at the Photogenick Photography studios. Still a few final touches such as more framed prints for the walls and some more signage waiting to be delivered.

Our shoot last week involved Emma who is an amazing dancer and required some head shots for her portfolio. These head shots then turned into a mini fashion shoot as I couldn’t help myself. Our new wallpapered backgrounds which we use for our newborn photography turned out to be a pretty good backdrop for our shots to give us something a little different to work with. These you can see below, well on the right image anyway.

Below this is another group of images from the last newborn shoot which turned out to be amazing and got some really good feedback.

Over all its been a great summer so far here in Rotherham but with the rain today I can help but think its just about over, well for the sunny weather anyway but Photogenick will keep one till the jobs are done!!

Our studio is based just off the M1 at Junction 35 South Yorkshire and is located in the village of Thorpe Hesley Rotherham. This is within easy reach of most Yorkshire and Derbyshire locations.

SWPP Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers

Well once again I have decided to join the SWPP. I gave up my membership last year for some unknown reason but have now decided to get back on track and start to work towards my Associate qualification. In simple terms there are three levels of qualification you can achieve. The first being Licentiate of which I have already passed so now I can start using my name as Nick Prescott-White l.s.w.p.p. again. This showing that you have full control of your equipment, lighting and finished product. The next stage is the associate which is much harder to pass but will give my clients an understanding of great competence within my photography. The final stage is the Fellowship, well what can I say………….. maybe one day.

Above are a selection of images I have chosen for the monthly image competition. All gold awarded images will go forward for the annual judging and be published as well as receiving an award!! You gotta be in it to win it.
