We awoke bright and early on Saturday morning to sunny skies and no sign of rain! What a fantastic start for today’s wedding with Mark and Win at The Rutland Hotel, Sheffield, South Yorkshire,
We had both been looking forward to today as the bride and groom are purely fantastic and very welcoming.
We arrived at The Rutland, Sheffield to be greeted by Win our lovely bride with her fantastic smile and jolly, enthusiastic welcome.
We headed up to the bridal suite where we shot all the detail shots in a very calm and relaxed environment. This was a sign of the day to come! Such a chilled out bride and groom!
As the ceremony approached the guests arrived and filled the venue with smiles a plenty. The service was lovely and it was a pleasure to photograph such a fantastic occasion.
We were lucky to shoot all the requested group shots outside at The Rutland in the lovely, well kept garden. We couldn’t resit a walk to the Botanical Gardens, Sheffield to get some extra special shots of the bridal party and Bride and Groom.
We ventured back to The Rutland, Sheffield so the bride and groom could relax with there loved ones while we planned some more special shots for later!
We spent more time in the beautiful grounds of the Rutland Hotel to finish off our already stunning selection of personal shots followed by the cutting of the cake and first dance,
Thank you so much Win and Mark for making us feel so welcome and choosing us to share your special day.

From the moment we opened the curtains at home in Rotherham, South Yorkshire on Friday morning the rain was falling pretty heavy. But I can assure you this wouldn’t stop us shooting an amazing wedding set in Knaresborough and Harrogate, We arrived in Scriven early to shoot the bridal preps and were greeted with a lovely warm welcome by Kim the fabulous bride and her family and friends.
We headed to Trinity church, Knaresborough, North Yorkshire to meet Dan the groom and all the wedding guests, the rain still in full force! Armed with umbrellas aplenty we still managed to get the fabulous church shots and all the guests rushing to church.
Soon the beautiful bride arrived under the shelter of her umbrella and we were ready for a fantastic service. Groups shots were taken inside the church as the rain persisted but these turned out amazing as everyone involved pulled together to make the best of a rainy but prefect day!
We then shot up to the Sun Pavillion, Harrogate, North Yorkshire for the wedding reception. Wow what an amazing venue with beautiful decorations! Kim and Dan our fab bride and groom braved the wet to join us to get some fantastic shots. Luckily the venue has an undercover trellis area covered with plants and flowers so we didn’t need our umbrellas.
As the wedding party tucked into a delicious hog roast we edited some pictures for our obligatory slide show. This of course was a real treat for all the guests.
After the wedding breakfast we shot a late evening confetti shot and moved on for the official cake cutting and first dance.
A truly fantastic day was had by all and it just goes to show that even on the wettest days we can still get those photos to treasure forever.
A massive thank you to Kim, Dan and all there family and friends for making us feel so welcome in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Last week saw us shooting Laura & James’ wedding at Swinton St Margaret’s Church then off to The Stables just on the edge of Doncaster.
There was a slight bit of nervousness about the weather for the day as all week before we’d had glorious sun and the forecast for the Saturday showed heavy rain………..all day……
Well it did start off raining…quite a lot but Laura wasn’t phased and knew no matter what the weather, it would be a great day.
Starting in Swinton for the bridal prep photography the off to the church for a 12 o’clock wedding. We met James at no other place worthy of a Swinton St Margaret’s wedding but at the Ring ‘o’ Bells pub just down the driveway to the church. In great spirits we went off with umbrellas above to get some groom, best men and usher shots. Obviously friend’s for a long time this came over in their shots.
Still raining when Laura arrived but Laura looked stunning as she walked down the aisle with her father.
As we’d been inside for a while in the church we didn’t really know what the weather was looking like outside but we had group shots on our mind so had fingers crossed for a pause in the rain.
After the ceremony we made our way outside and to our surprise the rain had stopped, so we cracked on with the group shots then quickly off to The Stables.
From then it didn’t rain for the rest of the day and actually turned out pretty good.
Don’t trust the BBC Weather app!!!
Anyway after the wedding breakfast and speeches it was off for a great night for all.
We had an amazing day and wish Laura & James all the best for their future together.
